Forty-three school districts and charter schools across Arizona competed for and won the Creating Disciplined Schools Grant disseminated by the Arizona Department of Education, and are active participants or alumni in PBISAz. School-based teams comprised of educators, administrators, parents, and school psychologists are leading their institutions in the strategic planning process to safe school environments.

These initial schools will be model demonstration sites for all Arizona schools implementing School-Wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS). The school-based teams will become experts and coaches, and guide the further development and refinement of PBISAz for Arizona schools.
